The scope of the project included Supply, Planning of the Installation, commissioning and capacity building for Department of Meteorology (DOM) engineers.
Installation was planned covering the entire country with the assistance of engineers of Climate Resilient Integrated Water Management Project and DOM. The automatic data transmission was planned at a pre-defined time interval using wireless telemetry. The customized software was developed as per required visual and graphics formats and interface was given to the Department of Agrarian, Irrigation, Mahaweli and UNDP. The ICT hardware was architected according and and installed.
The project was successfully completed and handed over. As per the contract, Inova has signed AMC agreement to maintain the island wide network for 3 years. We are able to maintain benchmarked standards of service to make sure the data received by DOM is accurate and up to date. Inova also carried out a comprehensive training by qualified technical personnel in order to aid capacity building of the related technical staff at DOM.
